The worldwide fame of Benedict Erofeev brought his famous, translated into more than thirty languages poem "Moscow — Petushki". And even though her hero — broom — never saw the red square, but it became truly popular, and the author is now recognized as a classic of Russian literature of the twentieth century. However, the artistic heritage collection is not only a poem "Moscow — Petushki": "notes of a psychopath" (1956-1958), launched at the age of 17, and the play "Walpurgis night" (the part of the author intended, but unrealized, a trilogy under the title "dry Nehta"), and the so-called works of short fiction, including an essay written on the entrance exams in the Vladimir pedagogical Institute, and a brief autobiography.
