This book is a vivid and direct account of opinion of the polyglot, and one of the first simultaneous interpreters in the world in different language systems.
The basis of this book is its own experience of learning 16 languages and a translator.
Kato Lomb is convinced that there are no people incapable of languages. The intent, curiosity and regular exercise, as well as following the General principles of "full immersion in the language": the development of grammar in parallel with the reading of the original texts, memorizing the whole of collocations and common phrases — always in context.
The book is well articulated these and other principles, which can serve as a Supplement to any other method of learning languages. Still, it's not about technique, in it even there is no methodological structure and tasks — it is about interest, inspiration, love. Love for linguistics.
