House of the Dead

"Notes from the Dead house" — one of the peaks of the creative heritage of F. M. Dostoevsky — based on the life story: it's horrible memories of Dostoevsky, sentenced initially to death for involvement in revolutionary circles, but instead of the death penalty who was exiled in Omsk jail, where he remained from 1850 to 1854, all the while shackled and in the vicinity of the convicts.
