Description
"Notes of a hunter" – a collection of stories and essays about life of the Russian countryside. Turgenev was the first among writers glorified the beauty of rural landscapes and the first so detailed, so vividly, emotionally and variously described the life and customs of the Russian people. What is there just no! Before the narrator, and after him, and the reader is a whole string of images of villagers, are told their fate, their love stories, their fears, beliefs, quirks – their lives in the broadest sense of the word. It has been over 150 years since the publication of "Notes of a hunter", in Russia abolished serfdom, but the features of the Russian character almost unchanged. So we are always close these stories and their heroes.
"Mumu" – probably the most famous story by Turgenev, and the name of deaf-mute yard Keeper Gerasim and the name of his beloved dogs have become almost a household word. Repeatedly filmed, this story will not leave anyone indifferent. In the French city of Honfleur is even a monument Mumu.
