Nadezhda Yakovlevna Mandelstam (1899-1980) – the widow of the poet Osip Mandelstam, writer, author of the world-famous memoirs, without which it is impossible to speak about Russia of the twentieth century; Stalin's time. Fate sent her one test after another: the arrest of her husband, link, his death in the camp, homelessness, war, the fate of lopatnica, endless nomadic years... And through all the troubles – desperate attempts to save the poet's archive, save VERSES, to convey them to the reader. And she did it.
