Sister Valerie was beautiful, clever and charming. Now she's dead. Handsome Henry, the son of a blacksmith, glad enough to console Valerie, but her wild heart belongs to another: a wandering lumberjack Peter, who calls Valerie another life far from home.
After the terrible death of her sister world Valerie hurts. For many generations the Wolf living in the forest, was satisfied with a monthly tribute. But now he does not like chickens and small livestock, he wants other victims. Hunter Wolf opens to the villagers the horrific truth: infernal creature lives among them! Moreover, it could be anybody.
It soon becomes clear that Valerie is the only one who is able to listen to the voice of the werewolf. And she knows she must become the next victim before the blood moon will subside... or everyone she loves will die.

The book is written by Sarah blakley-Cartwright, David Johnson ("the Green mile", "Child of darkness"), the introductory article to it was prepared by Catherine Hardwicke - Director of the film "Twilight".

"I think Sarah wrote an excellent book, developing the characters and furthering their world. It allows us to linger on the emotional aspect of "little red riding hood" and understand that this is not just a fairy tale, and the eternal legend of love, courage and growing up."
Catherine Hardwicke
