The book is dedicated to one of the Central themes in the works of the famous Japanese landscape painter of the nineteenth century Ando Hiroshige - Tokaido road. His etchings are among the treasures of not only Japanese national and world art. At home Hiroshige called "the Japanese landscape." Throughout the entire work schedule is constantly turned to the topic Tokaido road. The extreme popularity of the theme of travel found in the Edo period, when it was government issued a decree permitting the free movement in the country. This theme becomes Central not only in art but also in literature Ukiyo-Jose.
