Jesus of Nazareth

In its first written in the dignity of Pontiff book, Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) brings a kind of summary of many years of work, in the centre of which is invariably the main issue is to realize the true value of Jesus Christ.

The book, which began in 2003, is addressed not only academic theologians and clergymen who in the Christian world. The author, a staunch opponent of populist interpretations and pseudo-historical reconstructions of the image of Christ, seeks to reveal to the readers of "their" Jesus and through Parallels with the present to bring It to us. "Jesus of Nazareth" is the first part of the planned volume of work and covers the period from the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration.
