Description
The novel "Oblomov" — the pinnacle of creativity of I. A. Goncharov. Published in 1859, this novel provoked a mixed reaction from critics. Potters not only showed a surprising and paradoxical type of Russian man, and made his name a household word, defining such a lifestyle as "oblomovism".
Some saw the Oblomov character inertia of Russia and a sign of the times. According to N. A. Dobrolyubov, "laziness and apathy Oblomov is the only spring of action in all its history." Other critics justify the main character of the novel. So, A. V. Druzhinin wrote: "He is dear to us as a separate and pure nature, completely independent from scholastika-moral stacknode that spot themselves, the vast majority of people..."
Some have interpreted the novel as a satirical work, and others pointed to it and the lyrical, and subtle psychology. This original and one-of-a-kind book is still a matter of controversy, without losing its value.
