"Jacob's ladder" is a novel-parable, intricately branched family chronicle with a lot of characters and intricate storyline. In the center of the novel parallel the fate of Jacob Osickova, a man of books and intellectual, born in the late nineteenth century, and his granddaughter Nora — theater artist personality self-willed and active. Their "meeting" was held in the beginning of the XXI century, when Nora read the correspondence of James and grandmother Mary and received in the archives of the KGB access to his records...
The basis of the novel went letters from the personal archive of the author.
