Financier

In the novel "the Financier", the first part of "Trilogy of desire", Dreiser shows the career of Frank COWPERWOOD. In the desire to quickly acquire wealth and rightful place in society, not being able to stop in time, COWPERWOOD entangled in financial matters and in matters of the heart. Caught in a dangerous situation, under the threat of inevitable retribution, he relies on the only person able to save him, is his main rival.
