In this volume of the series "the Genius of the Russian investigation" presents novel Aharonov "wiser". Aharonov always gravitated to the image of the people and paradoxical situations. He sought to demonstrate and explain the psychological causes of people's actions. One of his best novels "the wiser" first published in 1872 in "Domestic notes". Cleverly constructed detective story combined with the subtle insight of the author and the deep penetration into the psychology of the criminal. The novel anticipated the emergence of a Thriller.
