Measuring the world

The novel "Measuring the world" exciting, intelligent and with great sense of humour tells the story of two geniuses of the Enlightenment, Karl Friedrich Gauss and Alexander von Humboldt, as typical representatives of the German national character in all its manifestations. These two eminent men were very different in all respects. And if Humboldt traveled almost the entire globe, Gauss almost never leave home, but this did not prevent each of them in their own way to study comprehensively and ingeniously to "measure" this imperfect world.
