Romain Gary (1914 -1980)- a famous French writer, Russian by birth, a member of the Resistance, a personal friend of Charles de Gaulle, a large diplomat. Writing nearly three dozen novels, Gary became famous as the Creator of the most sensational and tragic literary hoax of the twentieth century, playing the role of Emile ajar and thus becoming the only two-time winner of the Prix Goncourt.
