For centuries the female brain weighed, measured and found to be unnecessary. "Women are closer to children and savages than to an adult civilized man," wrote French psychologist Gustave Lebon at the turn of the 20th century. "Female" brain, the part of an imperfect and fragile biology, has long been considered sufficient to prevent the weaker sex to education, politics and science.
