Angel's day

The son of Russian immigrants. Three generations. Different characters and destinies – and the same courage to meet his love even if this love is sin, love is the hunger, love is the drug. A love that is punctuated with real hunger, the real drug, the horrors of war. The novel's characters willing to be responsible for their own choices. They hard think about whether to leave the man stranded on the edge, and what to do with his thirst for the forbidden and the boundless "I". They are able to see the angel who's looking at them – and on the border between life and death, and from under the dome of the temple, and the eyes of loved ones.
