Description

According to Christopher Tolkien, son of the writer John Tolkien always had a soft spot for "Northern" prosody and repeatedly used accentual verse, stylizing some of his works under the old Germanic poetry. Thus was born the "children of Hurin", "the New Song of Walisongo", "New Song of Gudrun" and other experiments of this kind. Based on the world famous the legend of Lancelot and Guinevere poem "the Death of Arthur", which was launched in 1934, was left unfinished due to the development of the world Lord of the Rings. This book contains the poem and the analysis of sketches by J. R. R. Tolkien, revealing the author's intent, as well as an article about the relationship of this text with the "Silmarillion".
