Tales of the sober-minded Mocker

Charles Nodier was a very versatile writer; Russian reader is known for its terrible and sensitive romantic novel, and bibliophile scholars of the essay. However, there is in legacy Nodier, a number of works that have never been published in Russia as a separate book. France has a tradition to call them "tales of the sane scoffer". In fact, it is really tale, with fairy tale beginnings and wonders, with various amazing inventions like the Fox, fell in love with the chicken, and fantastic characters like the king of rosewood, fit only to sign laws.
