Today Sergei Dovlatov — one of the most popular and widely read Russian writers of the late twentieth century. His works — the same great classics, which for all its scale remains simple, amusing and accessible to any reader, regardless of age, nationality, or extensive reading, in the words of the Dovlatov, "the degree of intellectual pickiness".
