The film rights to "the Goldfinch" were purchased by Warner Brothers. Waking up after the explosion in the Museum, Theo Decker receives from a dying old man a ring and a rare picture with the instruction to take them out of the Museum. Theo will throw various houses and families – from the new York patrons to the old cabinetry from a home in Las Vegas to a hotel room in Amsterdam, and stolen the picture will be and the curse that will drag him to the bottom, and the straw that will help him to get to the light.
