The science of love

The poem "Science of love" the great Roman poet Publius Ovidius of Nason is one of the most striking works of Latin love poetry, which had an undoubted influence on all subsequent European literature. It Ovid claims to love as enduring value, as common to two joy, pleasure man and consolidation of society. For the first time in the literature of Ovid is love-understanding, which may be long and happy. In the present edition also included other works of Ovid, affecting the love theme: "Love elegies", "the Cure for love" and "the heroides". Edition with detailed commentary.
