Running

"Running" is one of the most striking works of M. A. Bulgakov, which, like many other works that never saw light in the author's life. Disputes about it already in the early thirties went on the plane of purely political. According to "responsible" workers "Running" idealized emigration and were "harmful for the Soviet audience." This play Bulgakov said goodbye to the old Russia, and, as he knew, forever. Saying goodbye, he wondered, what happened with Russia, why the Russians have destroyed each other, is it possible the return of the exiles, wittingly or unwittingly caught in a whirlpool of tragedy.
