Igor Efimov and his wife Marina emigrated to America in 1978. There they created the publishing house "the Hermitage", which lasted 27 years and published such authors as Aksenov and there, Bits and Brodsky, vail and Genis, Galich and Grekova, Guberman and Dovlatov, Lev Losev, Anatoly Naiman, Evgeny rein and Ludmila Shtern.
For thirty-three years of life in the New World Igor Efimov wrote eight novels, among them the Archives of the last judgment", "the Seventh wife", "things", "Invalid", "Novgorod Tolmach", "Emperor's Bride" and others. From his pen also came out of historical and philosophical studies 'Shameful secret of inequality", "the Coming Attila", "Who killed President Kennedy". All of his books after the fall of communism has been released in Russia.
The second volume of his memoirs "the Link of times. In the New World" presents a detailed description of the life of Russian literary emigration in the late twentieth century.
