This book, the first Russian monograph on the history of Sephardic Jewry, is located at the intersection of two research traditions - perepischiki and Judaica - and shall consider such relevant in the modern medievalism topics as court culture and favoritism, ethnic and religious opposition foe, the perception of natural and artificial stupidity and insanity, semantics and aesthetics of buffoonery.
