Focus

Roman "Focus", written in 1945, at the Russian language is translated for the first time. A good layman Lawrence Newman doesn't like Jews and is ready to join with the persecutors of his neighbor, Jew Finkelstein. But he has to wear glasses - vision impaired, and he himself is mistaken for a Jew. Newman immediately deprived of gainful employment and becomes an outcast in my neighborhood. Having experienced all that we have to tolerate the Jew, the hero finds the courage along with Finkelstein to repel the rioters.
